Takeda as an Associate Director, Portfolio Management Lead -where
you will ensure that the PharmSci Portfolio operates smoothly,
efficiently, and strategically by partnering with Program
Leadership to provide operational and strategic support on
high-priority, complex, cross-functional program and portfolio
management initiatives. As part of the PS Program Leadership, you
will report to Head, Pharmaceutical Sciences PMO.How you will
contribute:Objectives of the role:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively within a
matrix organization to manage stakeholders, contribute to informed
decision-making within the Pharm Sci Portfolio & Programs, and
ensure seamless transitions from early to late development.
- Strategic Decision-Making: Prepare and present pipeline
overviews to PSPL, analyzing potential changes due to strategic
decisions, failures/lessons learned, re-prioritization,
accelerations, or technology changes.
- Portfolio Management: Assist in creating and updating "what-if"
scenarios, help develop CMC timelines, improve milestone data
completeness, and enhance program reporting accuracy in our
portfolio and program management systems.
- PMO Operations: Deliver operational, financial, time tracking,
resource management, and project & program reporting support for
PSPL, while representing PSPL on Pharm Sci or R&D wide
initiatives.
- Decision Making & Process Improvement: Offer data-analysis and
visualization training to Portfolio Management Leads, develop
innovative solutions to streamline PSPL processes, and support the
PharmSci Portfolio Management Office in ensuring efficient
transitions through development stages.Accountabilities:
Collaborate across PharmSci to prepare pipeline overviews for
leadership, including:
- Designing, creating, and maintaining custom reports and
overviews to gain novel insights and improve decision-making.
- Highlight upcoming program milestones and show Pharm Sci's
impact on deliverables (progress and/or challenges).
- Create mid-to-long-term overviews of key portfolio
deliverables.
- Track Pharm Sci deliverables & KPIs and highlight challenges
that need to be addressed.Work with PharmSci interfaces for
external innovation, research, and GMS to collect relevant
information to support alignment amongst the functions.Collaborate
with Finance to include budgetary considerations of various
pipeline scenarios.Lead, support & coach the PS-Leads, Functional
Leads, or PMs to develop and maintain timelines, budget & risks
with completeness, accuracy, and consistency across
PSPL.Collaborate with PharmSci Program Management Office to prepare
pipeline overviews for Pharm Sci leadership.Drive the
implementation of PharmSci Insights, including supporting systems,
driving process changes, monitoring utilization, and developing
comprehensive reporting.Provide Ad hoc Program Management support,
delivering high-level support for programs outside the standard
PSPL PM support model.Collaborate with research teams to support
planning, logistics, and data delivery as programs transition into
the portfolio.Leverage or develop tools and systems to visualize
data from single-source-of-truth and aid in portfolio & program
scenario planning, decisions and strategies within own
team.Awareness and working knowledge industry trends and
incorporates into approaches.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree with 15+ years relevant experience, Masters
degree with 13+ years relevant experience, Ph.D. with 7+ yrs
relevant experience
- Knowledge in pharmaceutical development: drug development,
process chemistry, biologics, formulation development, analytical
development, and/or statistics
- Technical, data sciences or natural sciences degree
beneficial
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong strategic communication skills
- Structured thinker with strong organizational abilities
- Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment and
drive resolution of issues while maintaining positive working
relationships across functions
- Time management skills and is able to successfully manage
multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to expresses one's self clearly and concisely to key
stakeholders; documents issues and/or concerns concisely and
comprehensively; adjusts style, language and/or terminology

SummaryWe understand compensation is an important factor as you

Base Salary Range:$149,100.00 - $234,300.00The estimated salary
range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual
base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors, including
the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position,
years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of
education attained, certifications or other professional licenses
held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from
which they will be performing the job.---The actual base salary
offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage
